Position: Director of Corporate Services Smoky Lake County
Location: Eastern Alberta (St. Paul)

Lead financial and administrative strategies at Smoky Lake County as the Director of Corporate Services. This role demands strategic thinking and financial expertise in a permanent full-time capacity.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, providing essential leadership in financial operations, budget development, and corporate administration. With a focus on collaboration, this role includes managing taxation processes and risk management while elevating the workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership

• Oversee all accounting functions and internal controls

• Lead development and monitoring of budgets

• Manage property taxation processes and compliance

• Supervise Corporate Services staff and promote high performance

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5–8 years of progressive financial management experience

• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills

• Strong knowledge of municipal finance and regulations

• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check prior to employment
