What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Division Manager, the Home Centre Manager will play a key role in providing leadership and guidance to the Lumber and Hardware Managers, supporting the overall business objectives of the Home Centre. As a hands-on leader, the Home Centre Manager will work alongside team members to deliver exceptional service and value to our customers.

Additional responsibilities include:

Achieve results by communicating job expectations via planning, monitoring, and appraising performance through talent management

Ensure all staff adhere to Co-op standards regarding merchandising, signage, staff appearance, housekeeping, Health & Safety and Loss prevention.

Lead marketing efforts adhering to advertising standards and create innovative marketing plans.

Prepare the annual budget and support leadership in establishing financial objectives by forecasting requirements; analyse variances and initiate corrective actions and sales strategies that support Prairie North Co-op’s vision.

Keep familiar and up to date with current and new products in the market.

Ensure all facilities and equipment meet the image checklist, management of assets and maintenance schedule.

Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

You have a Grade 12 Diploma

You have 3 – 5 years experience in a supervisory role and leading others, previous retail supervisory experience is considered an asset

You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do

You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives

Physically capable of performing dynamic and static movements, repetitive motions, and repeated lifting of up to 50 lbs unassisted
