Position: Cape Smokey Operations Manager Role

Take charge of maintenance and operations at Cape Smokey, a premier ski hill development in Ingonish, Nova Scotia. This full-time, permanent role demands expertise in ski resort management and strong organizational skills.

As the Maintenance and Operations Manager, you will oversee the entire operation of our year-round ski hill. This role requires a minimum of five years of maintenance management experience in the ski resort industry. You'll develop policies, manage budgets, and ensure efficient snow making and equipment maintenance throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement operational and maintenance policies

• Prepare and monitor ski hill budgets and finances

• Manage snow making and maintenance schedules year-round

• Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff

• Negotiate with suppliers for materials and equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of ski resort maintenance management

• College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree

• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Experience in contracting and safety leadership

• Flexibility for irregular hours as needed

Lead the operations and maintenance of Cape Smokey while ensuring a high standard of service and safety.
