Position: Cultural Programming Facilitator at Noojmowin Teg
Location: Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands

Serve as the Cultural Coordinator to enhance cultural programming for the Anishinabek community on Manitoulin Island. This role will emphasize relationship-building and program facilitation to enrich cultural understanding.

As a Cultural Coordinator at Noojmowin Teg Health Centre, you will be responsible for organizing and executing cultural workshops and events tailored to community needs. You will connect with Elders and Cultural Teachers, ensuring that traditional practices inform service delivery. By fostering community ties, you will enhance the cultural framework available for families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate workshops, healing circles, and gatherings

• Access culturally appropriate programming for families

• Ensure cultural protocol adherence during events

• Develop a comprehensive list of cultural resources

• Keep accurate reports as necessary

Requirements:

• Indigenous identity and ability to convey traditional knowledge

• Proven experience engaging with community stakeholders

• Knowledge of First Nation services' complexities

• Advantage: background in healthcare cultural programming

• Valid Class ‘G' Ontario Driver's License required
