Position: Climate and Food Systems Coordinator Role
Location: Manitoulin (Little Current)

Elevate community health as the Climate & Food Systems Coordinator at Sheguiandah First Nation. This term position focuses on integrated climate adaptation and food sovereignty initiatives.

You will be accountable to the Director of Operations to implement and evaluate programs that connect climate health with Indigenous food systems. Your leadership in stakeholder engagement, policy alignment, and program design is crucial for fostering community resilience. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for Indigenous knowledge and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and evaluate programs addressing climate health risks

• Manage all aspects of the Indigenous Food Forest

• Facilitate community workshops and programs

• Collaborate with various stakeholders on initiatives

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Requirements:

• Degree in Climate Science, Indigenous Studies, or related

• Relevant experience in environmental health and program coordination

• Strong project management and analytical skills

• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence required

• Up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Check needed
