Location: Smithers
Become a Community Program Associate at The Salvation Army, where you will help individuals meet their essential needs through comprehensive community programs and support services.
Your primary responsibilities will include assessing client requirements and organizing assistance through various programs. You will help manage volunteer efforts and maintain accurate records, ensuring operational policies are followed. This role requires a compassionate approach to outreach and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate client needs through structured assessments
• Distribute necessary items like food and clothing
• Supervise the cleanliness and safety of service areas
• Coordinate volunteer activities for community services
• Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping
Requirements:
• Completion of 2 years in community college
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in community services
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and database entry
• Ability to build professional community relationships
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain confidentiality
