Become a part of the Nova Scotia Health team as a Cafeteria Food Service Worker at Valley Regional Hospital. This role is casual, requiring flexibility in meal preparation, service, and cleaning tasks.

As a Food Service Worker, you will operate under the guidance of the Food Service Supervisor/Manager in the Nutrition and Food Services department. Your responsibilities include routine meal prep, customer service, and maintaining a clean cafeteria environment. Shifts vary from four to twelve hours, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in meal preparation and delivery operations

• Ensure cleanliness in cafeteria and food service areas

• Engage with customers to provide excellent service

• Demonstrate accountability in food safety practices

• Promote a culture of safety and ethical service

Requirements:

• Completed Grade 12 or equivalent

• Food Safety Level 1 (Food Handlers) mandatory

• Excellent customer service and teamwork abilities

• Proven decision-making and planning skills

• Experience in food service preferred
