Support patient meal service at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital using food preparation, customer service, and safe sanitation practices. Casual relief work is available.
As a Nutrition and Food Services Utility Worker, you will prepare, assemble, and serve meals and supplies. You will support patients, residents, Veterans, staff, families, and customers. The work includes meal selections, food handling, delivery, cleaning, and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities:- Answer patient calls and enter meal selections electronically
- Assemble, portion, and serve patient and visitor meals
- Deliver meals, nourishments, supplies, and selective menus
- Collect soiled patient trays and sanitize related equipment
- Maintain safe food handling and workplace sanitation procedures
- Grade 12, GED, equivalent, or relevant demonstrated experience
- Demonstrated competency in English and basic Math
- Restaurant or customer service experience considered an asset
- Effective, respectful communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull frequently
