Webb's Machinery is a six store New Holland dealership with locations in Vermilion, Vegreville, Lamont, Wainwright, St. Paul and Consort, AB. We specialize in agricultural equipment sales and service, and we are currently looking for a SALES CONSULTANT to join our team at our LAMONT location. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales and General Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the New and Used Equipment Sales process from the first point of contact with the customer to the point of sale and beyond.

The Sales Consultant will be passionate about building an ongoing relationship with the customer with the objective to create Brand loyalty and the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Job Description

Treat all customers and prospective customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.

Listen to and understand customer needs and take action to meet those needs with the equipment and services offered by the dealership.

Create a customer base through effective prospecting and cold calling within an assigned territory. Follow-up with customers within 24 hours.

Keep detailed records of all interactions with customers and complete customer profiles in IronHQ. Conduct a minimum of 5 customer contacts per day and complete 1 customer profile per week.

Ensure all documentation/paperwork is completed accurately and within 2 days of completing a sale.

Collect trade difference at time of delivery or sooner.

Prepare for the delivery of sold equipment. Ensure all details of the delivery of the sold equipment are completed and that all trade-in details are accurate and all traded equipment have their components, monitors, manuals and all other accessories.

Stay up-to-date on all dealership and manufacturer training programs and sales information.

Be able to explain technical features, options and their benefits of all equipment.

Keep up to date with products, prices and key features of major competitors.

Have a working knowledge of leasing and finance plans.

Coordinate and manage equipment demonstrations.

Take responsibility and pride on the yard display.

Have a good knowledge of used equipment values and be able to evaluate for trading purposes.

Take an active role in the promotion, marketing and advertising of the dealership’s inventory using Facebook and Kijiji to market trades.

Perform all duties as assigned by Management.

Ability to manage customer complaints and to solve difficult problems.

Holds a valid driver’s license.

Able to operate various agricultural equipment.

Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.

College certificate or additional courses would be an asset.

Agricultural equipment sales experience would be an asset.

Strong knowledge of local farming practices would be an asset.

Adaptable to work evening and weekend shifts as scheduled.
