Your Opportunity

Stantec has several very exciting marine projects and opportunities, and we are looking for a talented Senior Marine Biologist to join our team. The position can be based in any of our British Columbia offices and provides opportunities to work on all three of Canada’s marine coastlines. The successful candidate will work with multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to environmental assessments and applications for Fisheries Act authorizations.

Tasks vary from project to project and broadly include planning and directing field work, leading data analysis and reporting, proposal development, and engaging with clients, DFO and First Nations. Stantec works across all sectors which provides new learning opportunities on each project. Education and Experience

Stantec has a standard 37.5 hour work week. The typical office environment includes working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods. Fieldwork may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather and/or variable sea conditions. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs is require for field work.
