Independent Fieldwork Summer Student

Location: Southern Saskatchewan (Assiniboia)

Join our summer program as an independent student, focusing on fieldwork and crop management. This role involves conducting assessments and supporting soil and plant health analysis.

As a summer student, you will work autonomously on various tasks related to crop scouting and plant health assessments. In addition, you will evaluate nutrient deficiencies, collect soil and plant samples, and assist in microbiome testing. Your contributions will help agronomists make informed decisions regarding soil and plant health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed in-field assessments of crops

• Collect and prepare samples for laboratory analysis

• Assist with fertility planning and crop response evaluations

• Operate farm equipment including tractors and sprayers

• Maintain safety and organization throughout tasks

Requirements:

• Interest in agriculture and agronomy

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Basic understanding of soil science concepts

• Willingness to learn data management software

• Promote professional and safe work practices
