Location: Pelly Crossing
Pay or shift range: $74,750 CAD to $122,350 CAD. The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.

The Young-Davidson Mine is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. Role OverviewAs an Exploration Geologist, reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologists, you will support and execute a wide range of geological activities associated with near‑mine and regional exploration programs at the Young‑Davidson Mine. You will play a key role in data collection, interpretation, and geological modeling, contributing to exploration planning and results that support the long‑term success of the operation.
Key Responsibilities- Geological Data Collection & Interpretation: Collect, organize, and interpret geological data from exploration programs including diamond drilling, surface sampling, field mapping, and re‑logging of historic drill core.
- Logging & Sampling Standards: Ensure best practices are followed for drill core logging, sampling, QA/QC procedures, and database management.

Collaboration:
Work closely with senior geologists to interpret geological information, support exploration plans, and execute work programs. - Geological Modeling: Participate in geological modeling and interpretation at the deposit and regional scale.
- Health, Safety & Environment: Uphold strong safety, environmental, and operational standards and actively contribute to a culture of safety and accountability.
- Reporting & Communication: Assist with technical reporting and communicate interpretation results to senior leadership and management.
- Additional Duties: Support regional exploration activities and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Science.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Geologist in Training (GIT) or Professional Geologist (P.Geo).
- Recent graduate up to 5 years of experience in mineral exploration.
- Strong understanding of geological principles, mineralogy, structural geology, and gold deposit models.
- Experience logging diamond drill core.
- Self‑motivated with strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and community engagement.
- Experience with Leapfrog, ArcGIS, and SQL databases considered an asset.
