Lead Geologist for Timmins Gold Operations

Location: Timiskaming North (Iroquois Falls A)

Join Lake Shore Gold in Timmins, Ontario, as the Lead Geologist, where you will guide critical geology activities in gold mining. Shape mine planning and development in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

As Chief Mine Geologist, you will oversee operations at the Timmins Bell Creek Mine, ensuring the accuracy of geological models and supporting senior planning and teamwork.

Your role includes managing geological activities, mentoring team members, and strict adherence to safety standards. An integral part of mine operations, you will contribute to the reconciliation process and improve geological data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee grading assessments and underground geology monitoring

• Review geological data and contribute to mine layout designs

• Develop drilling schedules in cooperation with geologists

• Mentor the geology team and promote safety standards

• Manage the geology department budget and operational costs

Requirements:

•

B.Sc in Geology mandatory

• 8-10 years’ experience in underground mining

• Leadership experience with strong communication skills

• Familiarity with Auto Cad and GIS software

• Eligible to work in Canada
