As a Senior Marine Biologist, you'll oversee vital marine science projects and ensure environmentally sustainable practices. This important position requires strong expertise in marine and freshwater environments, stakeholder communication, and policy analysis. You will engage with various partners to represent Sipekne’katik’s interests amid regulatory frameworks and manage significant scientific projects for community benefit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement SGI consultation protocol on environmental files

• Conduct marine biological assessments and environmental impact analyses

• Develop consultation strategies promoting community vision

• Oversee scientific project management and data collection

• Lead relationship-building efforts with stakeholders

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in marine biology or management

• 3 - 5 years in marine or environmental analysis

• Experience in consultations with First Nations

• Knowledge of environmental issues affecting communities

• Proficiency in data analysis and project management
