Role Overview:
Working as part of a team to conduct field-based environmental programs and data management to support meeting the mines’ environmental targets, while contributing towards a positive environmental culture across the mine site. Key activities include conducting inspections, responding to environmental emergencies, maintaining air quality monitoring equipment, collecting groundwater and surface water samples in accordance with established methods, streamflow measurements, supporting field surveys, maintaining environmental databases and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections, collect field data and samples according to the monitoring schedule, adhering to internal standard procedures. Perform downloads, calibration and maintenance of field and lab equipment;
Collect environmental samples, such as surface water, groundwater, and air, and record field measurements and notes. Prepare samples for shipment to laboratory. Assist in streamflow measurements and topographic surveys.
