Position: Environmental Fish Monitoring Role in BC
Location: Sparwood

Join Elk Valley Resources as a Fish Monitoring Technician in beautiful British Columbia. You'll be involved in field data collection and environmental health initiatives, contributing to impactful ecological projects.

This role requires you to support health and safety programs while engaging in hands-on fish monitoring activities. You'll document findings, manage environmental data within our systems, and assist with public information presentations. Additionally, your work will support ongoing habitat improvements through innovative techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fish processing and field data collection

• Support the Environmental Health and Safety Committee

• Manage updates to the Environmental Data Management System

• Participate in spawning and electrofishing methods

• Collaborate on innovative strategies to enhance operations

Requirements:

• Enrolled in an Undergraduate program in Marine Biology or similar

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License without restrictions

• Comfortable operating vehicles in challenging terrains

• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences

• Experience with Microsoft Office tools
