Reproductive R&D Technician

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Reproductive Technician to join our Research & Development team at our Watrous (Manitou), SK location. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about animal reproduction, embryology, and research who wants to contribute to cutting-edge reproductive technologies while working alongside a collaborative and highly skilled team.
This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions, but is not limited to:
Handle,evaluate,andselectoocytesandembryosfollowingestablished

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Assistwithspermhandlingandpreparationforreproductiveactivities,including chilled,sex-sorted,andfrozensemen.
Assistwithanimaltreatmentsandmedicationadministrationasrequired.
Assistwithreproductivesurgeries,includinganesthesiapreparationandmonitoring,surgical support,post-operative recovery,andmaintainingsterileprocedures.
SupporttheR&Dteamwithresearchprojects,trials,andexperimentalactivities.
Assistwithartificialinseminationproceduresusingcryopreservedgermplasm.
Maintainthelaboratory,surgery room,induction area,recovery area,andassociatedequipmenttothehigheststandardsofcleanliness,organization,and biosecurity.
Accurately collect,record,andcommunicateresearchandproductiondatawithstrongattentiontodetail.
Workindependentlywhiletravellingtothefarmasrequired,maintainingavaliddriver'slicenseandreliabletransportation.
Collaborateeffectivelywithinmultidisciplinaryresearchandfarmteam.
Performotherrelatedreproductive,research,andgeneralfarmdutiesasrequired.
The successful candidate would ideally possess the following experience and qualifications:
Previousexperienceworkingwithpigsandanimalhandling.
Strongorganizationalskillswithexceptionalattentiontodetail.
Abilitytoworkindependentlywhilealsocontributingeffectivelywithinateam.
Excellentcommunicationandproblem-solving skills.
Degreeordiplomain Animal Science ,Veterinary Technology,Agriculture,Biology,orarelatedfieldwouldbeconsideredanasset.
Experienceinpigreproduction,embryology,andrology,reproductive research,oranimalsurgerywouldbeconsideredastrongasset.
Experiencewithultrasonographywouldbeconsideredanasset.
