Water-Focused Environmental Specialist at Skeena

Skeena Gold + Silver Limited is hiring an Environmental Specialist, Water, to lead water monitoring programs at the Eskay Creek Mine in British Columbia. This role emphasizes compliance, technical expertise in water quality, and collaboration with Indigenous partners.

The Environmental Specialist will report to the Environmental Manager and oversee environmental monitoring programs, ensuring adherence to permits and regulations. Candidates should have a solid background in hydrology, environmental compliance, and data analysis. The focus is on promoting environmental stewardship while managing water treatment and supporting ongoing mine activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead water monitoring for surface and groundwater

• Conduct environmental sampling and data analysis

• Evaluate monitoring results against regulatory requirements

• Prepare technical reports for compliance activities

• Coordinate environmental consultants and contractors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or related field

• 5+ years of environmental experience in mining

• Expertise in hydrology and water quality data

• Strong analytical and leadership skills

• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and certifications
