General welding repairs on trailers, trucks, and custom equipmentPerform welding repair inspections and time estimates on both on and off-road equipmentRead and interpret drawings and specifications to determine requirementsComplete Structural WeldingCustomize mobile equipment and/or parts as per the customer's requestProvide welding support primarily in the shop and occasionally in the fieldComplete all required paperwork in a timely mannerDevelop a welding repair process with the Service ManagerWork in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and guidelinesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
As a member of the Summit Truck and Equipment Repair team, we expect you to bring the following to the table:
Journeyman Red Seal Welder certification3-4 years of experience in commercial truck and trailer welding repairsTeam player who can share his/her knowledge by teaching and coaching junior employeesAbility to work safely in a challenging environment with minimal supervisionDemonstrated analysis and problem-solving abilityAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding dutiesMust be computer literate and have the ability to learn new programsDemonstrate and promote work-safe practices
