Description
We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to support an industrial Potash Mine project as part of the Ledcor team in Jansen, SK.
Responsibilities
Operate equipment safely using machine‑specific controls and attachments for heavy earthworks and construction tasks.
Operate Tadano GR1000XL and GR1600XL cranes.
Work in crowded, fast‑paced environments while maintaining situational awareness and ensuring site safety.
Interpret verbal and non‑verbal communication (including hand signals) from operators, ground staff, and laborers.
Operate on adverse terrain near other equipment and in heavily trafficked areas.
Conduct pre‑trip/walk‑around safety inspections, complete hazard assessments, and log and report maintenance concerns.
Communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Ensure safety of crew, equipment, and environment.
Complete work within regular hours.
Requirements
Preferred: 3+ years operating a crane with experience on other heavy equipment.
Experience in an industrial construction setting.
Red Seal certification with a recognized provincial training authority.
Good to have: CSTS 2020, CSO, BSO, SCOTT.
Must successfully complete pre‑access drug and alcohol testing.
Work Conditions
14 days on / 7 days off rotational shift, 10‑hour workdays with potential overtime.
Crane tonnage premium in addition to base wage.
Day and night shift available.
Camp‑based accommodation for non‑local candidates.
Travel allowance from approved locations.
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Benefits provided by CLAC.
Project end date:
January 2027.
