Suncor Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician

Location: Northeastern Alberta (Fort Chipewyan)

Embark on your career journey with Suncor as a 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician near Fort McMurray. This role features a 14x14 schedule with a focus on mining equipment.

Ideal candidates will possess experience in the oilsands or mining industries, particularly with industrial support and mining production equipment. English fluency, a valid Class 5 Driver’s License, and a willingness to undergo pre-employment testing are key requirements for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate heavy machinery

• Support mining production efforts

• Experience with skid steers and forklifts preferred

• Adhere to safety procedures on site

• Engage with team members for efficient operations

Requirements:

• Current status as a 2nd/3rd year apprentice

• OSSA or OSSA (BSO) Certification required

• Certification in CSTS needed

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License mandatory

• Successful completion of required testing
