Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro seeks a passionate Maintenance Worker for Bay D'Espoir. This temporary role requires a blend of practical skills including general maintenance and construction tasks.

You will engage in various semi-skilled work, from cleaning and painting to snow removal and operating mobile equipment. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining the organization’s structures and grounds while adhering to safety standards. The role demands physical capability to work at heights and in confined spaces, ensuring all maintenance tasks are fulfilled efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct general cleaning and maintenance tasks

• Operate hydraulic control gates and mobile equipment

• Assist in snow and garbage removal efforts

• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and masonry

• Maintain compliance with safety protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma with 3 years building trades experience

• Completion of scaffolding certification

• Training in dam operations and diesel units

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with relevant endorsements

• Strong understanding of safety regulations
