Become an Electrician in a shipyard setting, located in a rural area. Candidates should possess a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience, focusing on installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
This position requires a minimum of three years of experience as an Electrician. You will be responsible for installing wiring, testing electrical components, and troubleshooting control systems. Understanding blueprints and electrical codes is essential for layout determinations and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and maintain wiring, switch boxes, and fixtures
• Repair or replace faulty electrical components
• Test equipment for current, voltage, and resistance
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical control systems
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Requirements:
• Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
• Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certificate
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience
• Vehicle required for transportation
• Criminal record check and drug test needed
