Position Overview
Pipefitter / Steamfitter Apprentice & Journeyperson

Project:  DOW Chemical

Rate:  $31.20 to $52.00 per hour

Overtime:  as per the Collective Agreement

Camp:  NO CAMP LOCAL ONLY

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. Key Responsibilities

Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and drawings.

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.

Measure and cut pipes using various tools to ensure proper fit before installation.

Join pipes using welding, soldering, or adhesive techniques ensuring leak‑proof connections.

Inspect and test piping systems for safety and performance, adjusting as necessary.

Collaborate with other trades professionals to ensure timely completion of projects.

Follow all safety protocol, policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Journeyperson will mentor apprentices.

Requirements and Experience

Valid Provincial Journeyperson Ticket or indentured in a Provincial apprenticeship program.

CSTS-20 Certificate.

Fall Protection – In Class 8 hour.

Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) – In Class 8 hour.

Experience as a Pipefitter in an industrial construction environment.

Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast‑paced setting.

Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.

Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.

Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.

Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
