Position: Powerline Technician at ATCO Electric
Location: Peace River

In this role as a Journeyperson, you will play an essential part in constructing, maintaining, and inspecting overhead power lines and substations. This role demands adherence to safety standards as you supervise others and assist in training apprentices, guaranteeing compliance in all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and maintain overhead power lines and substations

• Supervise contractors to ensure quality compliance

• Execute system switching and coordinate outages

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults immediately

• Lead and mentor apprentices in their development

Requirements:

• Valid Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate

• High school diploma or equivalent experience

• Interprovincial Red Seal or eligibility

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license plus First Aid certification

• Experience with troubleshooting and on-call duties
