Employment terms: Permanent, full-time, 40‑42.5 hours per week. Overtime required (morning, day, night, weekend).
Salary: $32.00 to $40.00 per hour (to be negotiated).

Job responsibilities:
Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
Discuss work with supervisor.
Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
Inspect motor in operation.
Review work orders.
Road test motor vehicles.
Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
Coach and instruct apprentices.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a truck and transport mechanic.
Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification.
Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement.
Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement.
Ability to work in a dirty, hot, and noisy workshop environment.
Strong attention to detail, dependability, judgement, reliability, and teamwork.
Valid driver's licence.
Ability to secure a criminal record check and driving record check (abstract).
Area of specialization:
Engine repair, 4‑wheel drive, electrical and electronic system, diesel engines, brake system, fuel and emission system, ignition and electrical system, automatic transmission, standard transmission, engine repair and overhaul, collision repair, frame straightening, plastics repair, welding, truck‑trailer repair.
Work conditions: Dirty, hot, noisy workshop.
Tools/equipment provided: Steel‑toed safety boots (own tools required).
