Journeyman​/woman Automotive Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, hands‑on experience with automotive repair, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components

Utilize hand tools, power tools, and schematics to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently

Conduct welding and assembly tasks as needed for repairs or modifications

Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures

Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle

Assist with vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements

Ensure all work meets dealership quality standards and customer expectations

Operate heavy lifting equipment safely when handling large or heavy parts

Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly to clients

Qualifications

Proven experience as an automotive technician

Valid mechanic certification or journeyman/woman status in automotive repair

Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading

Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or maintenance tasks

Experience with automotive assembly, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques

Excellent problem‑solving skills coupled with attention to detail

Good communication skills for effective interactions and teamwork

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
