Location: South Central Manitoba (Altona)

Be part of the essential services team as a Utilities Operator with the City of Winkler. This permanent, full-time role focuses on the maintenance of the city's water and wastewater systems.

The City of Winkler is on the lookout for a self-motivated individual to support its Utilities Department. This role shares responsibilities for operation and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater treatment systems. You will play a vital part in ensuring safety and efficiency while working collaboratively with the team in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining wastewater and water systems

• Conduct routine inspections and reporting

• Operate various light service equipment

• Install and read water meters accurately

• Perform janitorial tasks in work areas

Requirements:

• Grade XII or equivalent completion

• Valid Class 3 driver's license or willingness to obtain

• Required certifications in water and wastewater

• Criminal record check and driver’s abstract

• Ability to work under minimal supervision

Provide essential utility services while enhancing community health and safety.
