Location: North Central Island and Bute Inlet Region (Gold River)

Contribute your expertise at Thales as a Technical Writer for Marine Vessels in Mill Bay, Canada. This hybrid position supports critical documentation for the Royal Canadian Navy's Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels.

As part of the AJISS Coastal Support team, you will liaise with engineering teams to produce comprehensive Specifications and Statements of Work related to maintenance and defect resolution.

Your role is key in ensuring effective communication between various stakeholders and maintaining compliance with technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and refine SOWs for marine systems

• Collaborate with OEMs and engineering teams

• Conduct onboard inspections and assessments

• Support improvements in technical documentation

• Assist in managing corrective maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• 2-year diploma in a mechanical discipline

• 3+ years of technical experience in marine settings

• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Familiarity with marine mechanical systems

• Fluent in English
