Location: Algoma, Sudbury District and Greater Sudbury (Chelmsford)

Caron Equipment is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for IAMGOLD Côté Mine in Gogama. This exciting remote position focuses on safe operation and maintenance of heavy machinery.

In this Full-Time position, you'll be responsible for handling various equipment like dump trucks and graders, essential for the completion of construction and excavation tasks. You'll perform pre-operational checks, compliance with safety standards, and maintain direct communication with your team for effective project management. Your contribution ensures successful and efficient operations on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators, bulldozers, and loaders as needed

• Maintain equipment and perform pre-operational checks

• Understand and implement site plans efficiently

• Report equipment irregularities to the maintenance team

• Keep accurate logs of usage and fuel consumption

Requirements:

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment

• Valid heavy equipment operation or commercial driver’s license

• Strong knowledge of safety practices and operational procedures

• Capable of lifting 50 pounds and working in demanding conditions

• Good teamwork and communication skills
