:
  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance in HVAC systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and related tasks for HVAC and plumbing equipment in school division facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
  • Work on projects identified by Managers or Supervisors requiring the services of skilled craftsperson(s).
  • Perform various maintenance and repair tasks on building systems.
  • Inspect and ensure the safe operation of equipment, making adjustments, calibrations, replacements, rebuilds, and repairs as necessary.
  • Assist in obtaining quotes and arranging services from external vendors.
  • Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts and order them as needed.
  • Monitor maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Perform other assigned job-related duties.
    • Journeyman Class A Gasfitter certification is required.
    • Certification in plumbing is an asset.
    • Experience with building management systems is preferred.
    • Experience in commercial or school facility maintenance is preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
    • Valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
    • 8-hour days, 5 days per week. Weekends off with some availability for emergency callouts if required.
    • Overtime available when necessary, taken as in lieu time or payment form.
    • Company vehicle and gas card supplied for work duties and emergency callouts.
    • Company cell phone supplied.
