Western Kia is looking for a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to join our Service Department.

As a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician, you’ll diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles while helping ensure every job is completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Diagnosing vehicle concerns and complete required maintenance and repairs.
Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Use OEM diagnostic equipment, service information, and dealership systems throughout the repair process.
Identify additional maintenance or repair requirements and clearly document recommendations.
Communicate with the Service Advisor and Service Manager regarding vehicle condition, repair requirements, and work in progress.
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Follow dealership health and safety procedures, including WHMIS requirements and the proper handling and disposal of fluids and chemicals.
Maintain your required technician tools and equipment in safe, good working condition.
Provide guidance and support to Apprentice Technicians and other junior members of the Service team.
Contribute to a positive, productive, and team-oriented shop environment.
Training and Development:

You will have access to ongoing manufacturer and technical training and will be expected to stay current with applicable service bulletins, technical publications, diagnostic procedures, and evolving vehicle technology.
