• Applicants working at this post are appointed for the construction and installation of new facilities/structures or other general labour requirements for the Parks Canada Agency applied for this post.

• Candidates must attain dedicated experience involving the use of hand tools, power tools and power equipment to be eligible for this post.
• Applicants must have prior knowledge of general labour practices and procedures.
• Candidates must attain the ability to operate small hand tools and powered equipment to be preferred for this post.
• They must ensure the willingness to work and/or travel in varied terrain, and adverse weather conditions to be considered as an asset for this post.
• Applicants must ensure their willingness to take training and update certification as requested by the employer to get preferred for this post.
• Applicants must be able to perform physical tasks as per the job requirements.
• Candidates must have reliability status security clearance and obtain and maintain Reliability Status to be considered as an asset for this post.
• Applicants must have dedicated maintenance of a valid class 5 Nova Scotia Driver’s License, or other provincial equivalency to be considered as an asset for this post.

• Candidates must attain experience in the operation of light ride-on equipment.
• Candidates must attain knowledge of safety practices and must acquire knowledge of grounds maintenance practices and procedures.
• Candidates must attain the ability to understand and carry out instructions.
• Applicants must strive for excellence and attain the willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform when required.
