Assistant Drill Operator

The Drillers Assistant is a crucial part of the 2-person drilling crew, responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the drilling rig, including operation, mobilization, de-mobilization, maintenance and safety. The assistant role is a physically demanding position ideal for motivated individuals with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Ontario G License REQUIRED.
• Having a DZ license is considered an asset.

• Ensure all site-specific safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Actively participate in all safety-related meetings, including: daily tail gates, last minute risk assessment, etc.
• Help conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• Help the Driller in the daily operation of drilling rig.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and repair.
• Cleaning equipment and keeping work area clean.
• Perform general laboring duties as required in the shop.
