Assistant Drill Operator

Location: Richmond Hill North

The Drillers Assistant is a crucial part of the 2-person drilling crew, responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the drilling rig, including operation, mobilization, de-mobilization, maintenance and safety. The assistant role is a physically demanding position ideal for motivated individuals with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Competitive Wage Package including group benefits and insurance plan will be offered commensurate with experience.

Ontario G License REQUIRED.

Having a DZ license is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all site-specific safety policies and procedures are followed.

Actively participate in all safety-related meetings, including: daily tail gates, last minute risk assessment, etc.

Help conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.

Help the Driller in the daily operation of drilling rig.

Perform basic equipment maintenance and repair.

Cleaning equipment and keeping work area clean.

Perform general laboring duties as required in the shop.
