Machine Group Specialist - Controls

This role is responsible for the programming, integration, and support of industrial automation systems, including robotics, PLC’s, HMI’s and low-voltage control systems within a plastic injection molding environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrate adaptability in a dynamic manufacturing setting, and take a proactive, hands‑on approach to troubleshooting and resolving both production and project-related challenges efficiently and professionally.

• Wage range - $28.12 ~ $43.26 per hour
• Paid overtime after 40/hours per week

  Up to 10 Days + 5 Float Days to start, 15 Days + 5 Float Days (1st full year)

• Program and integrate industrial robots, including Fanuc and Motoman for both new and existing equipment.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC and HMI applications using platforms such as Beckhoff, Omron, and Allen-Bradley.
• Configure and support vision systems, including Keyence, Cognex, and Fanuc.
• Create and revise electrical schematics using AutoCAD & EPlan.
• Assemble and wire low‑voltage control panels in accordance with electrical design standards.
• Integrate robotic & automation equipment, focusing on seamless functionality and system reliability.
• Set up and maintain industrial communication networks, including Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, and PROFINET.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain automated machinery, including robotic systems, assembly lines, packaging equipment, conveyors, and vision inspection systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist injection molding specialists during new product launches and equipment upgrades.
• Interpret and apply information from electrical schematics and technical documentation

• Robotics and Automation diploma, Technologist diploma in Electrical engineering, Industrial Electrician license, Electronics Technician Certificate or equivalent training and experience.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 5 years of experience in a similar role required. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
