Position: Physical Therapy Aide at U.S. Physical Therapy Canby, OR

Overview

Physical Therapy Aide position at U.S. Physical Therapy in Canby, OR. North Lake Physical Therapy serves the Portland Metro area with a patient‑centered approach and experienced licensed therapists who develop individualized treatment plans. Our team focuses on hands‑on care, education, and clear communication to support proper treatment progression and the best outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises
  • Safely transport and transfer patients to and from treatment areas
  • Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment areas and equipment
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records
  • Monitor and maintain therapy supply inventory
  • Perform administrative tasks including answering phones and managing documentation
  • Support therapists in patient education and exercise demonstration
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care delivery
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Proficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiology
  • Experience with electronic health records systems preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Physical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to patient care
