About the Job
The Deployment Associate at Radar plays a critical role in the successful deployment of RADAR technology in retail stores. A successful candidate will possess a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Deployment Associates at Radar are responsible for the end‑to‑end deployment lifecycle of a store portfolio within their region. This isn’t a handoff role. You’ll oversee your stores from start to finish: from coordinating with external partners before a technician sets foot on site, to ensuring the installations are completed on schedule, and completing a final QA assessment and sign‑off.
ResponsibilitiesDeployment Operations:
- Pre‑Installation Coordination:
Communicate with external partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment on tasks, timelines, and requirements for upcoming installations. - Project Execution:
Collaborate with the Deployment Lead, as well as Operations and Support teams, to ensure stores are completed efficiently and in line with Radar standards. - Feedback Loop:
Serve as an invaluable resource to field crews, providing input and feedback on deployment procedures to improve our workflows.
- Conduct Checks:
Perform quality checks on installations, both remotely and in‑person, to confirm they meet Radar’s standards. - Document Findings:
Keep detailed records of any issues encountered and track them through resolution. - Process Adherence:
Ensure all deployment activities closely follow established procedures and guidelines.
- Participate in training sessions to deepen understanding of RADAR technology and deployment procedures.
- Skill Development:
Continuously develop technical skills through hands‑on experience and training. - Knowledge Sharing:
Assist in training new Deployment Associates, vendor partners, and other team members involved in the deployment process by sharing knowledge and best practices. - Documentation:
Contribute to documenting procedures and guidelines, and assist with ongoing revisions and improvements to the documentation.
- Follow Safety Protocols:
Adhere to all safety standards and protocols during installations to ensure a safe working environment. - Compliance Checks:
Ensure all installations comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. - Incident Reporting:
Report any safety incidents or compliance issues to the Deployment Lead immediately.
- You have some experience in technology deployment or a related field, preferably within retail environments.
- You have a basic understanding of hardware installations and technical troubleshooting.
- You have strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- You are able to work well in a team and follow directions from senior team members.
- You have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- You are willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
- You are able to multitask and work in a dynamic environment.
- You have previous experience with RFID technology.
- You are willing to work weekends, nights, and holidays, as needed.
- Learn about Radar’s mission, history, and technology.
- Meet key team members and understand their roles.
- Participate in training sessions on RADAR technology and deployment procedures.
- Assist in a few deployment projects under the guidance of senior team members.
- Take a more active role in deployment projects, handling installation tasks independently.
- Continue learning from senior team members and asking questions.
- Start identifying areas for personal improvement and seek feedback from the Deployment Operations Leads and peers.
- Communicate with team members to walk through resolutions and manage escalations.
- Begin taking ownership of your assigned store portfolio by completing tasks, managing quality assurance, and ensuring installations meet Radar’s standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving deployment processes.
- Contribute to improving deployment processes and documentation.
- Evaluate personal progress and set goals for the future with input from the Deployment Operations Leads.
At RADAR, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The expected base salary range for this position is $75,000–$100,000. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including equity, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, flexible time off, and paid parental leave.
The pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
