Job Description & How to Apply Below
Milwaukee Electronics is a contract electronics manufacturer with over 70 years of experience helping leading industrial and technology companies bring innovative products to market. We're guided by four core values - One Team, Take Ownership, Seek to Serve, and Go Beyond - and we live them on the floor every day.

The Opportunity

Production doesn't move without the right parts in the right place at the right time. As a Material Handler I, you're the person who makes that happen. You'll prepare and audit kits for electronic assemblies, making sure every component is accounted for, correctly identified, and ready to build before it ever reaches the production floor.

This is a detail-oriented, hands-on role where accuracy isn't just appreciated - it's essential. If you take pride in getting things right and keeping things organized, you'll thrive here.

Responsibilities

Kit Preparation & Auditing
  • Pick and pull job kits per production requirements
  • Audit kits for accuracy before release to the floor - verifying component quantities, part numbers, and lot traceability against the Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Identify and document kit discrepancies, shortages, or substitutions and communicate findings promptly to the appropriate Team Leader or Supervisor
  • Ensure all kitted components are packaged using ESD-safe materials and handling procedures
  • Manage moisture-sensitive components (MSDs) using controlled storage and drying ovens
Inventory & Stockroom Operations
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain accurate records
  • Operate barcode scanners and update inventory in internal systems
  • Support stockroom organization and material flow
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials as needed
Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement
  • Follow all quality policies, procedures, and ESD protocols
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Adapt to process changes and contribute to problem-solving efforts
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • Sharp attention to detail - especially when counting, verifying, and documenting components
  • Ability to read and interpret BOMs, work orders, and internal documentation in English
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and a reliable, team-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements

This is a fully onsite role in our Canby, OR facility. You'll be on your feet in an active electronics manufacturing and stockroom environment. Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs, frequent use of hands for handling components, and close visual work required. ESD protocols and PPE required where applicable. Noise levels are moderate to loud and stockroom temperatures may fluctuate.

Work Environment

Fast-paced electronics manufacturing facility supporting production and stockroom operations. Occasional exposure to moving equipment and moderate to loud noise levels. ESD-controlled environment; PPE required where applicable. This is a fully on-site role - attendance is essential.
