Milwaukee Electronics is a contract electronics manufacturer bringing innovations to life from prototype to production. Our mission is Accelerate — expanding what's possible for our customers, our people, and our communities. We operate as One Team, Take Ownership, Seek to Serve, and Go Beyond.

About the Role

The Assembly Team Lead is the heartbeat of the shift. You're not a supervisor watching from the sidelines — you're on the floor, hands‑on, keeping the team moving, solving problems in real time, and making sure every operator has what they need to do great work. You'll lead Assembly and Rework operations while filling in where needed, developing new employees, and being the first line of support before escalating to the Shift Supervisor or Engineering.

If you take pride in your craft, care about your team, and thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, this role is for you.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a working lead — actively participating alongside your team, not just overseeing it
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily workflow for Assembly and Rework operations
  • Ensure 100% training compliance for your shift, including onboarding and documentation for new hires
  • Provide real‑time coaching, feedback, and troubleshooting support to team members
  • Capture, document, and drive resolution of production issues in partnership with Engineering and Quality
  • Champion 6S standards and safety practices across production work spaces
  • Partner with process owners on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide performance feedback on team members to the Shift Supervisor
  • Cover Shift Supervisor responsibilities as needed in their absence
What You Bring
  • 1–2 years of electronics manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands‑on training
  • Solid soldering skills — ideally strong enough to perform and train sophisticated solder work
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and quality documentation
  • Basic math skills and ability to read performance data
  • Strong communication skills — you can coach, escalate, and collaborate with equal ease
  • Passing scores required on IPC Component Identification and IPC Workmanship Standards courses (in‑house training provided)
  • Must be eligible to work in an ITAR‑controlled facility (U.S. Person status required)
