Canby Evangelical Church – Lead Pastor Position

We are a church family striving to be fully devoted followers of Jesus, serving neighbors near and far. As our current pastor prepares to retire, we are prayerfully seeking the next Lead Pastor to guide our congregation into its next season of ministry in Canby, Oregon.

OUR CHURCH

The Canby Evangelical Church is a praying church with a couple of regular prayer meetings during the week among other activities. There are ministries that we support locally, and ministries that are out of the area. It is the oldest continuous church in Canby. In 1883 a group of families from Germany gathered to worship together in Canby, Oregon. Ten years later, they constructed the church building on its current site and held the first service on Christmas Eve in 1893.

Worship services are held in the historic chapel. Major additions to the original structure were completed in 1933 and 1955. A separate building for offices and meeting rooms was constructed in 2013. The fellowship hall and kitchen were renovated making this an attractive room that hosts activities for the church and the community.

The current Sunday worship attendance is about 50-60. Today Canby Evangelical Church continues to worship together, grow in faith and serve our neighbors near and far. Whether you call Canby Evangelical Church home or are visiting, you are welcome as part of a church family aspiring to be fully devoted followers of Jesus. Canby Evangelical Church is a member of the Pacific Conference of The Evangelical Church.
