Description
Community Vision is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join Maria's support team. Maria is a young woman whose family and friends describe her as fun‑loving, honest, cheerful, positive, and artsy. Maria lives in rural Oregon City—about 15 minutes from Canby—and is looking for supports to be provided in her home and local community.
Schedule: Sunday 8pm - Monday 8pm
24 hours total, 20 hours paid (4 hours unpaid; see sleep deduction below*)
Pay:$21/hour

Description:
Maria enjoys doing art projects, exploring fun things to do in the community, and anything to do with animals. Maria appreciates being supported by female staff who help her develop social relationships, explore personal interests, and maintain her sense of autonomy.
Maria is a lot of fun to be around and will benefit greatly from your supports if you are able to set and model healthy boundaries. Maria is looking to welcome a seasoned professional who is adaptable, empathetic, responsible, and fun.

Requirements
Maria's personal support needs will require you to be able to:
- push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs.
- transport Maria in your personal vehicle
- provide reminders and verbal prompts to complete direct care (bathing, dressing, eating, taking medication, etc.)
- provide reminders and verbal prompts to maintain housekeeping (disinfecting, sweeping, laundry, washing dishes, etc.)
- provide partial assistance and coaching with meal preparation (cook using kitchen utensils and appliances, etc.)
- provide partial assistance with verbal communication, decision‑making, and emotional regulation
- track medical and financial documentation according to CV policies
- track daily progress notes according to CV policies
Employment Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or the equivalent
- One year of experience supporting individual(s) with disability, preferred
- Ability to pass a criminal history check through Oregon DHS and not be listed on the OIG Exclusions List

* For each 24‑hour shift, CV expects employees to have uninterrupted time to sleep through the night. Typically, an employee has 8 hours of sleep time, of which 4 are unpaid (i.e., a sleep deduction). This means in a 24‑hour period, the employee will be paid for 20 hours of time worked and will be allowed to sleep for up to 8 hours.
