We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable and organized Office Services Assistant to join our Canfield team. This individual plays a key role in keeping the office running smoothly and supporting our attorneys, administrative professionals, and guests. Ideal entry level position for a motivated recent graduate and someone looking to start a career path in the legal services area.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Scan and process incoming mail into document management system
- Process outgoing mail and overnight packages
- Maintain conference rooms - setup for meetings and breakdown post meetings
- Order, stock and maintain office supplies and kitchen supplies
- Perform a variety of clerical duties including, but not limited to, typing, scheduling, filing, and preparing large mailings
- Scanning and file projects
- Back-up reception desk
- Court runs
- Misc. errands
- Large copy and scanning jobs
- Some event planning including ordering and setting up lunches and meetings
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office environment, preferably in the professional services area
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office technology
- Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff
- Ability to be a proactive self-starter who understands the details within a much larger context
- Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability and ability to learn new technology quickly
- Excellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision
- The ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
