Animal Technician (Temporary – Term Time)
Start Date: 18th January
End Date: Half Term
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 12:00pm
Pay: £13.68 per hour
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Animal Technician to support the daily care of animals while working alongside children in an educational setting. This is a temporary, part-time role ideal for someone with a passion for animal welfare and supporting young people.
Key Responsibilities- Daily care and welfare of animals
- Feeding, cleaning, and maintaining animal enclosures
- Monitoring animal health and behaviour
- Supporting and supervising children during animal-related activities
- Promoting safe, respectful interaction between children and animals
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, health, and safety
- Experience working with animals (essential)
- Experience working with children or young people (preferred)
- Patient, responsible, and approachable
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and animal welfare
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
This role involves regular contact with children
A DBS check is required (or willingness to obtain one)
Start Date: 18th January

Pay Rate: £13.68 per hour
