Position Type: Part-time, 2 hours a day on student contact days only
Location: Cañon Exploratory School
Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the Instructional Support Salary Schedule and based on education and experience. $16.50-$17.82 per hour/minimum pay.
QUALIFICATIONS- Aide positions require a high school diploma or equivalent to.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a school atmosphere with staff members, students and the public.
- Ability to read, write and speak in order to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
- Ability to supervise children in grades K-5 on the playground setting and in the lunchroom.
- Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports Systems.
- Ability to work with others.
- Initiative to seek solutions to problems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Pass pre-employment physical.
- Demonstrate reliability in all work situations.
- Present a professional appearance personally and in the work area.
- Promote and maintain positive working relationships with peers, students, parents and the public.
- Be knowledgeable about the job.
- Always strive to stay on task and produce high quality work.
- Model the District's Mission and Belief Statements.
- Meet the educational, physical and emotional needs of students assigned.
- Possess skills to be able to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively.
- Ability to work with a variety of students with special needs.
- Will include outside supervision in inclement weather.
- Supervise children in the lunchroom and outside from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
- Other Duties assigned.
