Canon Lodge Care Center in Canon City, CO is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents with daily care needs in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. CNAs assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and safe transfers while promoting comfort, dignity, and independence. This role includes measuring vital signs, observing and reporting changes in condition, and accurately documenting care.

CNAs collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and families to follow personalized care plans and support restorative and rehab services. Ideal candidates are resident-centered, dependable, and committed to enhancing seniors' quality of life in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
  • Support safe transfers, mobility, and positioning using proper body mechanics
  • Measure and record vital signs and report changes in residents' conditions
  • Follow individualized care plans and restorative/rehab programs
  • Assist residents with meals, hydration, and monitoring intake/output as directed
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care provided in designated systems
  • Promote resident dignity, comfort, safety, and independence at all times
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, residents, and families
  • Maintain clean, safe resident rooms and common areas
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures
