Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC​/Refrigeration

• Support and oversee repair of Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets
• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates
• Document repair activities
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
• Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy, and environmental guidelines

• Option 1: 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration
• Option 2: 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
• Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling
• Where required, HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman
• 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area or 2 years’ Walmart store experience
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, or OUI within the last five years
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
• No serious traffic violations as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
• Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration (preferred)
• Experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (preferred)
• Prior experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams (preferred)
• Prior experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment (preferred)
• Prior experience with Glycol and CO2 systems (preferred)
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work frequently at heights

Demonstrates expertise in maintaining and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Proficient in using various tools and technologies for effective diagnostics and repair in commercial settings.
