About this Bar Supervisor role:
This is a varied supervisory role with responsibility for both the Unit 6 Bar and the wider South Quay Shed venue .
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and supervision of the Unit 6 Bar and venue.
- Supervise and support bar staff, ensuring excellent customer service and a high-quality visitor experience.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the venue, including correct opening and closing procedures.

- Oversee cash handling and customer transactions.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with stock control and communicate requirements to the Bar/Venue Manager.
- Ensur e the bar and communal areas are kept clean, tidy and well presented at all times.
- Carry out regular venue checks and ensure required tasks and checks are completed by the team.
- Deal professionally with customer, visitor and tenant queries or issues.
- Support the smooth running of events and activities within South Quay Shed.
- Train, induct, support and mentor junior members of the team.
- Provide leadership while on shift and ensure staff understand their duties and expected standards.
- Support the Bar/Venue Manager with delegated operational responsibilities.
- Play an active role in identifying and supporting improvements to the venue and customer experience.
