Maintenance Operative

Temporary - 3 months

37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday

£13.84 per hour | Paid weekly

Based in Canterbury | Travel required to Dover and Folkestone

We are looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Operative to provide an effective and efficient maintenance service across supported accommodation and office properties.

• Carry out general maintenance including decorating, basic carpentry, flooring, plumbing, door and window repairs and changing light bulbs.
• Respond to maintenance issues and ensure repairs are prioritised and completed within reasonable timescales.
• Help keep properties clean, tidy and safe, reporting issues such as waste, fly-tipping, pest control and other concerns.
• Liaise with specialist contractors when required.
• Complete planned and cyclical maintenance, including refurbishing and redecorating rooms when needed.

• We are looking for someone who is hands-on, reliable and organised, with a good range of general maintenance skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.
• A full driving licence and access to your own transport are essential, as the role involves travel between properties across Canterbury, Dover and Folkestone.
• You will need to be able to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
• The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
