Accounting Manager

Vaco is partnering with a well‑established organization in the Canton/Litchfield area that's looking to add an Accounting Manager to their team.

The role: The Accounting Manager will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP. This person will manage and mentor a team while partnering closely with leadership to support business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing monthly and annual financial statement preparation
• Managing general ledger activity, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Supporting multi‑entity accounting and consolidations
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Partnering with external auditors
• Driving process improvements and supporting system upgrades
• Mentoring and developing accounting staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 7+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with accounting systems and process improvement initiatives
• Proven analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Compensation for this position is based on skill set, experience, location, and other factors. The salary range for the role is disclosed in this posting. Eligible for discretionary bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
